Our membership now consists of 100 committed liberals from different walks of life. Our tribe is increasing day by day and the membership is by invitation only. It is hoped that very soon our number will go up to 250. Prof: Babu Joseph who has been making a relentless crusade for the cause of classical liberalism during the last 35 yrs is presently heading the movement.

Prof: Babu Joseph can look back on a life of varied achievements. He started off his political career as a student leader by being an active participant in the liberation struggle waged against the 1^st communist ministry in kerala and was courted arrest. To start with, he was a Nehruvian socialist of the Fabian type. But very soon he got disillusioned with the centralized planning policies of the Soviet type followed by Jawahar Lal Nehru the 1st Prime Minister of India and came in to direct contact with Indian Liberals like Rajaji and Minoo Masani and they by sensing his political acumen and organizational abilities drafted him the National Executive of the Swatantra party the then Liberal party of India. Probably he was the youngest member of that group and he used that opportunity to organize young liberals in India. In 1973 his essay on “Internal and External Menaces to liberal democratic countries of the world was adjudged the best by the Liberal International, London and he was invited to participate in the School for Freedom conference held in Berlin in 1974. In that connection he established close contacts with liberal leaders else where in the world. On his return he joined a college as a professor of commerce and he continued in that capacity for 22 yrs and became its youngest principal for 10 yrs. He was instrumental in converting his college in to a community college, the 1^st of its kind in kerala.

He has authored several books and his book on “Failure of Marxism and victory of Jesus” was acclaimed one of the best to counter the arguments of Liberation Theologians.

He has traveled widely and his doctoral thesis is on “Incipient Sickness of Small Scale Industries in Kerala”. His wife Prof: Laila Joseph is a professor of Sociology and his eldest daughter Priyanka Anna Joseph is pursuing her Masters in Electrical Engineering in the Wright State University, Ohio, United States and 2^nd daughter Athira Anna Joseph is doing her Bachelors in Business Studies. 

Prof: Joseph and his team of liberals are committed to the cause of liberalism and its advancement in his home state, kerala and he dreams that it will become a force to be reckoned with during his lifetime.
